Flannel! Bootcut jeans! Burlap! If this outfit doesn’t scream cool temps and barns I don’t know what does. Some days I just feel like a touch of Daniel Boone and glam. Also the first thing that came to my mind when I saw these pictures was this. I may need to find an orchard to go play in this season to check apple picking off of my bucket list. Ready For The New

With fall around the corner this is the perfect time to still enjoy the last of the summer nights that are upon us. Sunsets & Rooftops

Ok can we discuss how it has been hot as the dickens in LA for the past week!?! Sheesh! This day I was in the house with the a/c on all day so I had on leggings. I made the mistake of leaving the house in said leggings and I thought I was going to pass out! When I came back out I knew an outfit change was in order. Whew. Regardless of the heat though, summer nights are soon fading away and that saddens me. I’m going to miss these sunsets until next year…

Happiest Place on Earth

Of course it’s Disneyland, but sometimes it’s wherever you take the Disney. I picked up this headband on my latest magical adventure and had been waiting for the perfect time to don them with an outfit. I may have to whip these out more often!

Ok. Fine. Do Over.

This past weekend was a mixture of BBQ and daytime drinking. Otherwise know as a damn blast! I spotted this top a couple times before I actually bought, the day I finally purchased it my mother said, “That’s the perfect shirt for you, it’s exactly what you say ALL the time.” HA! Thanks Mom? Anyway if any of you are ever in LA, you have to go to the Do Over on Sundays, perfect day party. I’ve been going for years now and while I must say I miss the original quaintness of the event it is still definitely a great time. I only snapped a few shots because I was having too much fun.

Redondo on Avenue D

Sunday equals Funday these days right? Mine was definitely that, I spent this past Sunday I enjoying good times with my  friends. Great views of Redondo Beach, fun laughs, and a little whiskey rounded out our day. I love that California is chock full of beautiful beaches where you can sit, get your tan on, and can act as the background for your summer days.

This GoldenDoodle, Drew, made my day! I want a Labra/GoldenDoodle so badly!! Someone get me a doggie.

Venice.

The weekends are about good friends, great food, and excellent views. I spent this weekend with two of my best friends in Venice. If you ever come to LA for a visit be sure to check out the Hotel Erwin’s rooftop lounge, Hal’s on Abbot Kinney, and all the other dope spots Venice offers.

Sunny Evenings.

The thing I love most about summer are the evenings spent taking walks, chilling outside, and bare legs. The best part about living in California are the beautiful sunsets. Sunday evening I did all of that while I spent time drinking seasonal beers and catching up on Mad Men and I can say, it was indeed a great day.

Hunger Games & Fur

The day we were all waiting for finally arrived, Hunger Games opened yesterday and I was at the 1pm showing to see how they interpreted such a great book  onto the big screen. I can say about the movie is that it was an excellent depiction of what I imagined as I read those enthralling books. Suzanne Collins was able to write a world to life so much that when people heard there was a movie coming, we all waited with abated breath to see it. Here’s what I wore to my mid-afternoon movie  double date with my bff and our beaus.

I wanted a little fun and for me that usually means some fur. I love it! As noted here and here. I also just recently bought a purple fur coat and a fur stole. I can’t get enough! Over the past few weeks denim shirts have become one of my staples, they so easily go with EVERYTHING. Do yourself a favor grab one.

Also big hugs to the lady in Aaron’s Brothers at the Marina Marketplace who said I looked fabulous, she made a brown girl smile. =)
