INSPIRED :: Angela Simmons

Miss Angela Simmons, daughter to one of everyone’s favorite emcee’s Rev Run. She’s always had a cute style to me which of course has evolved over the years with age. The youthfulness of it and fun playful looks she offers are very relatable to girls in our age bracket.

Here Angela is photographed with her Uncle Russel Simmons at a runway show. The edginess she evokes with these wine colored thigh highs, barely there shorts, and excessive jewelry…too cute! If there is one thing I’m known for is wearing OD amounts bracelets and very large earrings, so this look I’m loving.

When girlish ways aren’t suitable for particular events it is great to know that we all possess an inner woman. Angela has transformed here into a graceful Ivory number which I think compliments her skin tone beautifully. It’s not unusual that she’s making an appearance at an Essence event seeing as she is one of the nations youngest Black female entrepreneurs, alongside her sister Vanessa with a thriving business, Pastry. I’ve never been a fan of the bulky- kiddish look of their sneakers but I admire their business sense and drive to establish a profitable name free from their father and uncle.

Standing here with the June Ambrose ( read about her here) Angela’s simplicity is just what the fashionista ordered. Check out that peek-a-boo split! Gorg. And if there’s one rule in fashion that everyone should follow it’s “every ensemble needs a punch ”   black and white from head to toe, minimal accessorizing, and a punch of color shown with her scarlet clutch. Work it Angy!

at the 2012 Betsey Johnson fashion show

Here Angela is pictured at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Betsey Johnson SP2012 show. Dressed in a very girlish number which embodies BJ’s fashion, not surprising she chose to wear it. I’m not sure the designer of said number but she’s looking effortlessly flyy.

Take notes ladies Angela Simmons is one to watch on the style Richter scale. Stay FLYY, Live FLYYER.
