I have been on the hunt for a cream to use for styling for sometime now. Most of the butters and milks are either super expensive or a waste of my money, neither of which I am too happy about. At a trip to the beauty supply this week my mom picked up Taliah Waajid’s Curly Curl Cream. I had heard of Taliah Waajid before and after reading the ingredients on the product told her it would be a good buy.
I used the Curly Curl cream to do a Bantu Knot out and was pretty pleased with the results. The hold was good without being too crunchy or hard once it dried. I did the style on dry hair and spritz each piece with water prior to applying the cream. My only qualm is that it can be a tad sticky after a day so I think I will use it in conjunction with some sort of oil next time.
My mom has decided to go natural after years of wearing a perm!! Cue the celebration music! Her first thought was to big chop but before she did that I told her we should practice with some styles. Here is her first twist out using the Curly Curl cream.
She had the same thoughts I had regarding the tacky feeling after a day of wear but likes the hold the cream offers. All in all, Taliah did a great job with this product and it will continue to get used in our regimens. I look forward to trying some of the other products in her line!
