YSL, now Saint Laurent, has long been one of my favorite, “One day I’ll afford it” brands. When its creator passed away a few years ago we all knew some changes would be in store for the line that introduced the world to the pantsuit for women. This year with Hedi Slimane as the brand’s creative director we got one hell of a collection. Chock full of gothic reminiscence, leather, tassles, and grand floppy hats perched on each model the line looked like it was made for a bad ass woman. And I loved it. Take a look at some of my favorites below.
As you can see most of my favorites looks were those that consisted of a classic pant fit with a stunting showstopping jacket. Complete with a pair of platforms this look would be perfect for a night on the town with friends, dinner with your beau, or even a day at your fashionable office. While some critics were less than impressed by this collection, I can say this LA girl is in love.
